From London Paddington, Oxford or the West of England (via Slough)

On arrival at Slough Station, change for the train service to Windsor Central Station.  This runs from Platform 1 approximately every 20 minutes and takes approximately six minutes.  To make your way to Windsor Castle walk straight out of the Station and walk up through the paved shopping area. At the top you will see the Castle. Cross over the road and walk up the hill to the Henry VIII Gate on your left.

From London Waterloo (via Clapham Junction and Richmond)

As you leave Windsor London Waterloo (via Clapham Junction and Richmond)and Eton Riverside Station at the main exit you will see the Castle. Keeping the Castle on your left, walk along the main Datchet Road, turning left at Thames Street to walk up the hill and at the Victoria Statue turn left.  You will see the Castle entrance and Henry VIII Gate on your left.

Bus from Heathrow Airport

Take the First Group Route 8 bus from Heathrow Airport to Windsor High Street. You will see the Castle when you leave the bus.  The journey time is approximately 60 minutes and runs approximately every 30 minutes.

Taxi from Heathrow Airport

We recommend using 5 Star Taxis as the police here are familiar with their vehicles.

Approximate cost from Heathrow to the Castle is £33 – this is standard pick up outside the airport.  If a meet and greet is requested from inside the terminal, there is a parking charge (charged at cost) and then they charge £12 per hour of waiting time. Black cabs will be considerably higher.

Locating St George's House

Enter the Castle through the Henry VIII Gate, walk across the Parade Ground through two archways, turn right and walk up Denton’s Commons. St George’s House will be directly in front of you. The main door to St George’s House is on the right side of the House.
